Hello friends. I’m happy to share another gorgeous styled shoot from JoPhoto, whose beautiful work has been featured before on the blog here. I love duo’s style and how they manage to capture things so magically. Today we’re headed to the Deep South for a styled shoot with soft spring elegance, from pink hues to golden accents.

From the photographer…Spring is gorgeous in East Tennessee, and it offered the perfect backdrop for this elegant, outdoor spring inspiration shoot! The focus of this shoot was to incorporate simple elegance with glamorous details. The tablscape was full of gold and blush pink accents, while the couple photos were simple and natural with a romantic and fresh feel. We allowed the Tennessee spring blossoms to provide the beauty for the bride and groom photos. By keeping the couple’s fashion very simple, their intimate poses and the spring backdrop did all the work of creating the romantic feel we desired. Unlike the couple photos, the tablescape was designed to be over-the-top and packed full of glamorous details. Every glass was filled, and every plate had it’s own handmade place card and menu. The depression glass trays were packed full of fruit, cheese, and pastries, and the candy table was filled with spring desserts and goodies. After the sun set, the tablescape took on a whole new look. Every detail glistened by candlelight, which was the perfect ending to this romantic southern shoot!

New York Flair Styled Shoot

P h o t o s b y M y l y n W o o d

Hi friends. So this is definitely a unique shoot being shared today. First let me preface with the fact that this may be one of the most adorable couples to grace the blog. It was shot in the tropics of Saipan but doesn’t take on the typical beach or seaside styled shoot you might imagine when you think of this warm locale, but instead, was inspired by New York City’s fashion and fun.

From the photographer…Danielle LaRauf, a professional dancer from New York and Jordan Bjostad, an experienced pilot from Texas, both took jobs on a tiny, remote island just south of Guam on a whim. The odds of them finding love on such a small island, quite literally in the middle of the Pacific Ocean were about as remote as their location but luck was in their favor and that’s exactly what they found! The couple are both far from traditional and though they’re not officially engaged (yet!) we wanted to celebrate their love before the two embark on a new life off-island where miles will separate them,

The classic New York style gave us the inspiration for the gown (a handmade gem inspired by Oscar de la Renta) and his sleek, black tie look. The couple thrives on adventure, often spending their time exploring the island through hikes and scuba diving and traveling the world (they have a trip to Japan in the works!) The tandem bikes were a no-brainer for this fun-loving pair and proved to provide a spectacular view of the local park, cafes and Galleria mall.

Great Sand Dunes Elopement Inspiration

I’m thrilled to have this stunning styled shoot from Katie Grant on the blog today. It’s one of those that I can’t wait to share because its beautiful details are so emotive. I also love Katie’s work so it’s an honor to showcase this feature as her first on Belles & Bubbles. I’ll let her speak for the feature as her words capture it all perfectly.

From the photographer…The sharp edges of the windblown dunes call for attention, for action. They call for bare feet tracing their spines and ache for romance atop their peaks. Here, in the stillness of the dunes, is where our perfect elopement transpires. Amethyst geodes set the luscious palette of this intimate affair. They can be seen dancing on the ribbon of the bouquet, skirting the edges of the richly painted cake, and alongside the divine, hand-lettered elopement announcement suite. A table for four was loosely set to accommodate our bride, groom, and their two witnesses. Florals spill out of the antique brass centerpiece as lovely hand written menus announce the feast.Let us not forget our couple; silhouetted by the sinking sun and bathed in golden light as they commit themselves to each other. Our bride’s Houghton NYC gown perfectly catches the night breeze and the sun sings it’s praises as it shines through the gauzy fabric. It is truly a sight for the groom to behold and to forever cherish. This is indeed a night to remember in the Great Sand Dunes.

Italian Bed & Breakfast Lifestyle Shoot

P h o t o s b y N a d i a M e l i

Happy Friday, everyone! I’m kicking off the weekend with a very fun styled shoot captured by Nadia Meli. I’m veering away from weddings per se at the moment here (though the tablescape is stunning and will be pinned all over my wedding boards), and showcasing an amazing lifestyle shoot featuring the precedes leading up to a dinner party.

From the stylist Jessica Gallo of Fine & FleurieNadia Meli and I are pleased to offer for your consideration a sweet little lifestyle shoot we created in Florence. Nadia and I absolutely adore Florence and we were inspired by the incredible duo behind Valdirose, a quaint and very chic B&B set in the rolling hills just outside of the city center hustle and bustle. The proprietress Irene and her husband are two of the most loving and kind people imaginable, and their home absolutely reflects their nature. The villa features a handful of utterly charming rooms and the most gorgeous glass atrium that’s filled at all hours of the day with the most creamy light. Nadia and I imagined staging a faux dinner party in the atrium and capturing the couple preparing for the event. Irene is quite a well known lady here in Italy and her cookbook “Quello Che Piace a Irene” has earned her a large following, so we were privileged to have Irene share a couple of her recipes with us, and also to have her prepare some of her favorites for us to capture.

For the aesthetics of the table we decided to keep with the casual-chic essence of the villa and set the table first with a barely-blush natural silk runner from Silk & Willow and next with clean white dishes featuring a subtle lace pattern- pieces I’d found in a handmade pottery shop near my home in Northern Italy! Mis-matched glassware and flatware with a little patina were the perfect backdrop for Sonja of Funkybird Firenze’s incredible floral arrangements. Shades of peach and palest pink paired perfectly with dinner party invitations and menus hand-painted by Yao of Yao Cheng Design.

Undoubtedly though, our favorite part of the shoot was capturing Irene and her husband Paolo in the kitchen together, rolling by hand the malfatti (delicious dumplings made from ricotta cheese and spinach) and laughing as Irene critiqued Paolo’s rolling abilities. Their warmth and love was palpable and we were grateful and happy to share in the sweet moment with them!

Soft Sunrise Beach Bridal Portraits

P h o t o s b y J o P h o t o

There’s a lot of beach wedding inspiration out there, but this shoot from JoPhoto has a few unique and noteworthy details that make it truly something special. Sunrises, for one, are an incredible time of day for a beach shoot, which is when this shoot took place on the gorgeous Isle of Palms. You’ll also need to get your pin-fingers ready for the stunning bridal jumpsuit and big, textured bouquet as well.

From the photographer…This is a sunrise bridal jumpsuit shoot that took place on the beach at Isle of Palms, just outside of Charleston. The oyster candles were made by the bride’s mother, and the bridal jumpsuit was designed by Hawaii-based Joelle Perry. Joelle said the jumpsuit design was inspired by her mother, and the fabric included velveteen roses that gradually increased in number toward the bottom of the pant. This Isle of Palms beach wedding inspiration shoot also included starfish and a basket full of seashells.
