Today I have a very chic and artistic styled shoot to share with you. We are headed into some lovely gardens in Ontario, Canada and stepping into an artist’s dream of beautiful landscapes and fresh florals. And anyone who loves vintage details will love the unique and colorful china used for the place settings. Do read the stylist’s description of the shoot, as it truly is a noteworthy concept.

From the designer, Phoebe Lo Events…Brushed behind the rolling pastures and concealed by cast iron gates lies a secret little garden known as Pathways to Perennials. The luscious estate was carefully crafted by a pair of gardeners that dedicated the landscapes to their newborn child. Developed over the course of a decade, the gardeners envisioned that Pathways to Perennials would be the grounds to which their daughter and her loved one would lovingly cast the oath of marriage upon each other. The meandering pathways signify the course of a lifetime’s journey, and one would find the hidden treasures among this delicate route, whether it be a bunch of French garden roses or a gazebo with welcoming breezes and a seat for two.

This styled wedding photoshoot plays with a classic European motif that is subtly captured through the accents of landscape painting and watercolours. The concept of romance is drawn upon the unity of these key elements and positioned upon the lush backdrop that embodies the perfect solution of vintage and elegance. The colour palette of this photo shoot features the sweet hues of mint green that is juxtaposed by pale peach, and lightly tinted by plush gold details. The bride dons a floor length Alfred Sung gown crafted with French lace and crystal beading. The sweetheart table setting showcases an arrangement of century old Queen Anne porcelain dinnerware paired with Cellini Romanesque golden cutlery.

Rocky Coastline Wedding Inspiration

P h o t o s b y K a t i e G r a n t

I recently featured one of my all-time favorite set of images of a styled shoot in the Great Sand Dunes by Katie Grant, so naturally, I’m excited to share another one of her amazing shoots. I love the ocean and some of my favorite wedding inspiration comes from organic shoots inspired by the natural elements of water. This one includes a fantastic shelled crown and a quaint and very pin-worthy sweetheart table.

From the photographer…We drew inspiration from the natural, rocky coastline and built the shoot around the natural palette of the shore. The sweetheart table is nestled into the large rock formations where waves crash underneath, creating a beautiful symphony. The table is adorned with light sea blues and sandy golds and the plates are set with each person’s name calligraphed on a translucent capiz shell. The focal point of this shoot is the bride’s jaw-dropping and gorgeous seashell crown, a fresh and inspiring take on the bohemian floral crown.

Great Sand Dunes Elopement Inspiration

I’m thrilled to have this stunning styled shoot from Katie Grant on the blog today. It’s one of those that I can’t wait to share because its beautiful details are so emotive. I also love Katie’s work so it’s an honor to showcase this feature as her first on Belles & Bubbles. I’ll let her speak for the feature as her words capture it all perfectly.

From the photographer…The sharp edges of the windblown dunes call for attention, for action. They call for bare feet tracing their spines and ache for romance atop their peaks. Here, in the stillness of the dunes, is where our perfect elopement transpires. Amethyst geodes set the luscious palette of this intimate affair. They can be seen dancing on the ribbon of the bouquet, skirting the edges of the richly painted cake, and alongside the divine, hand-lettered elopement announcement suite. A table for four was loosely set to accommodate our bride, groom, and their two witnesses. Florals spill out of the antique brass centerpiece as lovely hand written menus announce the feast.Let us not forget our couple; silhouetted by the sinking sun and bathed in golden light as they commit themselves to each other. Our bride’s Houghton NYC gown perfectly catches the night breeze and the sun sings it’s praises as it shines through the gauzy fabric. It is truly a sight for the groom to behold and to forever cherish. This is indeed a night to remember in the Great Sand Dunes.

Italian Bed & Breakfast Lifestyle Shoot

P h o t o s b y N a d i a M e l i

Happy Friday, everyone! I’m kicking off the weekend with a very fun styled shoot captured by Nadia Meli. I’m veering away from weddings per se at the moment here (though the tablescape is stunning and will be pinned all over my wedding boards), and showcasing an amazing lifestyle shoot featuring the precedes leading up to a dinner party.

From the stylist Jessica Gallo of Fine & FleurieNadia Meli and I are pleased to offer for your consideration a sweet little lifestyle shoot we created in Florence. Nadia and I absolutely adore Florence and we were inspired by the incredible duo behind Valdirose, a quaint and very chic B&B set in the rolling hills just outside of the city center hustle and bustle. The proprietress Irene and her husband are two of the most loving and kind people imaginable, and their home absolutely reflects their nature. The villa features a handful of utterly charming rooms and the most gorgeous glass atrium that’s filled at all hours of the day with the most creamy light. Nadia and I imagined staging a faux dinner party in the atrium and capturing the couple preparing for the event. Irene is quite a well known lady here in Italy and her cookbook “Quello Che Piace a Irene” has earned her a large following, so we were privileged to have Irene share a couple of her recipes with us, and also to have her prepare some of her favorites for us to capture.

For the aesthetics of the table we decided to keep with the casual-chic essence of the villa and set the table first with a barely-blush natural silk runner from Silk & Willow and next with clean white dishes featuring a subtle lace pattern- pieces I’d found in a handmade pottery shop near my home in Northern Italy! Mis-matched glassware and flatware with a little patina were the perfect backdrop for Sonja of Funkybird Firenze’s incredible floral arrangements. Shades of peach and palest pink paired perfectly with dinner party invitations and menus hand-painted by Yao of Yao Cheng Design.

Undoubtedly though, our favorite part of the shoot was capturing Irene and her husband Paolo in the kitchen together, rolling by hand the malfatti (delicious dumplings made from ricotta cheese and spinach) and laughing as Irene critiqued Paolo’s rolling abilities. Their warmth and love was palpable and we were grateful and happy to share in the sweet moment with them!

Delicate Gossypium Wedding Inspiration

P h o t o s b y M a t o l i K e e l y

So many talented vendors got together to produce the lovely shoot I’m about to share with you. This one is a true stunner to be remembered and I am honored to have it grace the blog today. All the details and styling inspired by the gossypium plant are perfectly elegant and timeless, and captured so wonderfully by Matoli Keely at the The Little Workshop.

From the photographer…The Lewis Dream Home with cotton fields for miles, was the perfect location for this cotton influence with Michael and Carina Photography, this shoot combined natural, ethereal beauty and effortlessly brought them to life. The model Stephanie Knight was styled in dresses by Gossamer, with delicately soft and beautiful hair and makeup by Lora Kelley. White Magnolia Designs designed florals and a gorgeous tablescape accented by ribbon from Silk & Willow. Lastly, Written Word Calligraphy tied all the elements together with elegant and timeless calligraphy.”
