There’s nothing quite like a mountainside to set the backdrop for a photoshoot. But bridal portraits among flowering fields on a mountainside? We’re talking serious magic here. Janna Warm of WarmPhoto captures an elegant bridal session inspired by the legend of Sybil, a fairy who walks through the village of Castelluccio in Italy. Adorned with a simple braid, a gold crown and a free-flowing silk gown, Sybil’s ethereal presence provides us with the most beautiful bridal inspiration.
From the photographer…In the spring, the extraordinary spectacle of Mother Nature begins. Each year, from the last days of May to mid-July, the flowering gives rise to an explosion of colors in all the fields of the Sibillini. Mountains form a vast carpet of colorful flowers that continually change. The stunning view seems straight out of a fairy tale.
The charm of these places has always resulted in many fantasies in the minds of visitors and people who live there. By the end of the 14th century, they were portrayed as the land of necromancers, fairies and demons of all kinds.According to a third century legend, prophetess Sibyl Kuman, prefers the silence of a cave south of the mountain. The cave is located next to a small lake, and it is believed that if you stay there for more than a year, you become immortal and timeless, living in abundance with no troubles. Locals see Sybil as a good fairy, whose entourage sometimes descends from the mountains and Sybil dances beautifully among them.
We were inspired by the beauty of Castelluccio di Norcia and legend of fairy Sybil.
