Happy Friday, everyone! I’ve shared some of Ashley Ludaescher’s work before (here and here), and today I’m sharing another one of her gorgeous shoots. There’s tons of inspiration in this bright, warm day filled with gorgeous florals by Botanic Art and coordinated by Beautiful Occasions. Really though, you have to check out all the pretty little details from the hair, to the bouquets, and the amazingly styled table. Oh, and let’s not forget to mention that that last shot is a real stunner too!

From the photographer…I am thrilled to get the chance to share the work of a super talented team of vendors and felt honored to get to work with them all. We wanted to create a super chic wedding in the countryside, similar to the beautiful barn weddings we have back in California. We had so much fun organizing this shoot together and had a blast on our day of shooting. Our models, Josefin and Daniel were so sweet and just a joy to photograph. We found the perfect wedding location, Gartenglück Wegendorf, where we fell in love with the 300 year old tree in their courtyard and Hürriyet created a stunning floral garland under the tree’s canopy. Hazel was excited to debut her modeling skills alongside our adorable flower girl and ring bearer, although she was immediately fired after she tried to eat the peony collar we created for her.

From the photographer…Sharing with you a beautiful editorial shoot styled by the amazing Pearl and Godiva. I so enjoyed working with this talented team of creatives to see dreams and stories come to life. It features beautiful rich florals from Frogprince, and exquisite gowns all set in the wilds around Ballymagarvey Village in Ireland. The stylists and florist did an incredible job with the colours and textures chosen. It was wonderful to have such a variety of majestic birds involved in this shoot. The hawks and owls helped set the wild theme that was perfected in the details of the tablescapes, cake and florals.

Rehoboth Beach Wedding Inspiration

P h o t o s b y N i k k i S a n t e r r e

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. Some of my favorite wedding inspiration comes from the beach, even though I was born and raised a mountain girl. So, today I’m sharing this beach wedding inspiration editorial from the Envision workshop with photos by Nikki Santerre, who explains her workshop experience beautifully.

From the photographer…Envision was my first large-scale photography workshop. For four days, like the sponges of the sea just outside the doors of our Rehoboth Beach house, we soaked up the knowledge being so generously poured into us. No topic was left untouched: marketing, branding, blogging, submissions, clients, gifts… you name it – we discussed it.

Not only that but we shared meals together, we laughed, and we cried. We shared our hearts, our dreams, our desires, our goals for our businesses and our thirst to make them something more for not only ourselves but our clients. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my career thus far. I have never felt so encouraged and lifted up by a group of my peers as I did with these women.

During the workshop, the hostesses created a styled shoot for us to photograph. Not only that, but we had the opportunity to work one-on-one with Laura Gordon (who is probably one of my all time favorite photographers ever. Really, her film work is breathtakingly exquisite). It was a dream, especially for someone just beginning to journey into the world of film photography. These images are actually my very first film images and I’m excited to say since this workshop I have transitioned to shooting a majority of my work on film now, in large part from what I learned.

Fire Bride: Erich McVey Workshop

Do you all remember the element inspired wedding shoot from Erich McVey’s workshop in Bend, Oregon? Well, three of the elements were featured back in January and today I’m sharing with you one of my favorite element pieces from that workshop, the fire bride. These gorgeous photographs were taken by the talented Matoli Keely whose work you’ll be sure to see again on the blog.

Styled by Ginny Au, this bride represents the element of fire. She wears a gorgeous, black silk gown made by Rubicon with hair and make-up by Amy Clarke. Florals in shades of pinks and yellows make up the lovely bouquet by Ashley Beyer.

Autumn Woods Boho Wedding Inspiration

P h o t o s b y W a r m P h o t o

I believe that I’ve mentioned before how I’m a huge fan of the bohemian style. Well, this styled shoot raises the bar for gorgeous boho wedding trends. Shot by Janna Warm in the autumn woods, this styled shoot not only features a lovely couple, but a couple of horses too, just to make things a little more magical.

The smell of redwood giants.

The banquet for the shadows.

Horse and I, we’re dancers in the dark…

Inspired by the colors of the autumn woods, a color palette chosen by FlowerGirl of browns, beiges, golds, yellows, and burgundies were used to style this shoot along with natural textures of wood, fur, and wool. Styling by Elen White included a knitted long-sleeved dress with a warm fur vest. Victoria Spirina created a custom necklace of shells and wood while Ivcakes provided the lovely naked cake.
