Fine Art Boudoir Session in the Morning

Boudoir sessions are a bit of a rarity in editorials so I’m excited to share today’s fine art boudoir session in the morning captured by Chelsea Q. White during the Lemonade and Lenses workshop. Captured in film, this raw and tender session takes place in a light and airy barn and field during the morning sunrise. Sweet and delicate details of calligraphy, florals and ribbon compliment this ethereal boudoir inspiration. As a stylist, this shoot has me completely convinced that a boudoir session is on the to-do list of editorial creations. And for the future brides out there, boudoir certainly done in the most stunning, tasteful way.

From the photographer…Set against the clean, minimal backdrop of the white-washed barn, the delicate French lingerie took center stage of this all-film morning sunrise boudoir inspiration shoot. As the sun rose into the sky, it lit up our beautiful model, Carmel, and her gorgeous long blond locks. Her true beauty shined through understated makeup and low-key lingerie choices. We then moved inside to the White Sparrow barn where the clean palette allowed for the peach tones and her pink lips to pop. Rich floral details and a delicately penned love note tied up the session with a pretty bow.

The whole session was shot on film for an organic, timeless quality. Posing was subtle, yet feminine and beautiful. Fine art boudoir is all about feminimity and capturing the beauty of the curve of a woman’s body. It is not the place for loads of makeup or overly sexual posing. My aim is to make boudoir look like I’m peeking into the serenity of Carmel’s morning.
