Romantic & Intimate Couple’s Boudoir Shoot

Oh how I’ve fallen in love with today’s images. Fine art photography duo Justin and Amanda of The Happy Bloom recently attended the Michael & Carina Little Workshop and boy, did they capture some serious beauty. The workshop didn’t consist of your typical styled shoot sessions of bright color palettes, loads of florals and decor, but sessions with the theme of “embers” in mind. Justin and Amanda captured a boudoir session with several grainy black and white shots, reminding me why I love fine art photography so much. Black and white photos, stripped of their color, allow us to focus on the composition of the image - and these before us are utterly captivating.

From the photographer…The shoot was inspired by embers. An ember is a glowing entity that remain after, or sometimes precede, a fire. Draped in lace and quiet, Dorian wore intimate and sheer pieces by Girl With A Serious Dream. The rain fell outside making this small room even warmer and more intimate. A hooded robe evoked a sense of mystery and glow, like that of an ember. Soft greys and contrasty blacks became the night sky making their soft, fair skin glow.
