Today’s wedding inspiration editorial from personal favorite Connie Whitlock is jam-packed full of goodies. Taking place in undeniably beautiful Colorado in a unique castle location, the backdrop is enough to make hearts flutter. The details of this styled shoot, though, are truly some of my favorites. Pastel florals of ranunculus, delphinium, tulips and roses make up the lush and loose bouquet while mossy greens are laid upon the table as a runner and adorn the cake display, making it much to pretty to even think about cutting into. Each detail is carefully curated to make an everlasting impression and I am officially in awe.
From the photographer…This spring inspired shoot was so fun to put together. When we were choosing a venue, we were looking for something unique in Colorado. When we found Cherokee Castle, we fell in love with it’s history and the mood of the castle architecture against the expansive views of Colorado’s foothills. We chose soft spring colors that brought in the colors of the landscape surrounding the venue, and Flora by Nora designed lush floral to stand out against the castle walls. The centerpiece for our tablescape was a pete moss runner that extended the entire length of the table, with candles and floral emerging out of it. The invitation suite included delicate yet simple designs to highlight the gorgeous calligraphy. The cake highlighted our theme as it included naked top layers against a fondant base adorned with delicate feathers, floral, figs, and blackberries. The cake stand was also covered with pete moss and floral to soften the gold wire stand.
