Dazzling Bride and Groom Portraits

As much as I love being captivated by gorgeous flowers, tablescapes, cakes, and other wedding details - I’m a true sucker for couple portraits. The way a photographer can capture a couple’s love and blend it with the artfulness of photography is an incredible thing. These swoon worthy shots are some of my favorites.

Shoe Shot

While just a snippet of the bride and groom, this lovely shot provides a little peek of the couple’s wedding day attire. It’s a detailed wedding shot that still captures the essence of the couple.

The Kiss

A classic bride and groom shot, but this one seems to capture an unobtrusive and truely special moment. Taken in witching hour light, while the groom holds her bouquet, this shot radiates the couple’s true love through the lens.

Straight On

This straight-on shot of the bride and grooms entwines the couple with the venue architecture and it’s just stunning. The black and white definitely adds to the artistic structure of the photo.

Sweet Nuzzle

The nuzzle shot is another classic portrait. It’s nice to see the sweeter, romantic side of a couple - and the way the groom is snuggling up to her, makes me love this photo even more.

Draped Veil

A portrait shot of the couple engulfed by the bride’s veil is so whimsical and dreamy. This one makes my heart pitter-patter with happiness.

Bridal Focus

I love how this shot focuses on the bride, but still captures the groom standing in the background. We all know he’s just admiring how beautiful she is - and how lucky he is to have her.

Perspective

Portraits that take on a unique perspective are just plain fun to look at. I love that this one makes me feel like I’m witnessing something that’s really in the moment.

Dance

I love how the bride and groom are dancing without the crowd watching. It’s such a sweet and special moment to see the couple dance by themselves as they soak up the magic of each others presence.

The Rings

This is a cute and fun shot. Not only are the rings included, which is special in itself, but the couple’s thumbs decorated as bride and groom adds some extra quirk to the photo.

Reflection

A reflected silhouette is such an artful way to capture the romance of the couple. The black and white and lovely ripples in the water result in an ultra dreamy photo.

Immersion

Not many couples get a chance to do underwater shots, but if they do - wow. This picture really does say a thousand words; it doesn’t get much more whimsical than this.

Up Close

Close-up shots of the couple are just wonderful. True love is radiating through this photo as we focus on only the couple in their moment together - no distractions.

The Dip

The groom dipping the bride reminds me of the iconic 1945 The Kiss - I mean really, what’s not to love about this.

Artful Solitude

I love the pure black background of this photograph. Being in love often feels like being the only two people in the world - and this photo captures this feeling perfectly.

Boy Voyage

Another must-have portrait if the couple is parting the reception in a getaway car. A wonderful representation of their embark on a new journey together as man and wife.
