Old World Romantic Wedding Inspiration

I got into wedding styling during my time in Europe last summer/fall and today I’m excited to share with you Old World romantic wedding inspiration I conjured up in Belgium with images by film photographer, Gert Huygaerts. The location of this shoot was in ancient ruins in Belgium and they were incredibly inspiring. Thanks to the whole team who worked on this shoot with me - it was planned in all of a couple of weeks and with that said, I am more than thrilled with how it turned out.

My vision for this shoot stemmed from the gorgeous silk and lace black gown created by Cathy Telle. With the romantic, timeless, yet edgy look of this gown, I knew that the old abbey ruins of Villers-la-Ville in Belgium would be the perfect setting for this shoot. The location and gown really inspired me when thinking about the other decor elements. Black and gold played strongly in the color palette and lots of loose greenery were used in the florals. Everything came together beautifully and this shoot to me, represents old world, European romance.
