A Colorful And Glamorous Styled Engagement

Hi all! I love engagement shoots for a few reasons. The main reason I love them is because the couple can enjoy some fun time together behind the camera lens. Couple portraits can capture your love so wonderfully and allow you to go back and remember that special one-on-one time together. I just love them! Here’s a wonderful set of engagement shots from Alyssa Nikole with styling by Elke Saenz.

From the stylist…It was important to me to highlight Dani & Vlad’s natural colorings and tones. The palette for this winter-centered shoot was overall cools and neutrals with slight but significant pops of color for each look. To play to the more fashion-forward and youthful vibe of the theme, I liked the idea of having full outfits of different variations of one color. As well, these looks are all about the accessories; layers upon layers of clothing and jewelry helped heighten the chic twist on the classic looks. The shoot pushed the envelope of classic engagements by creating a risqué and freeing spin on an elegant couple.

Organic California Engagement in Marin Headlands

Hello lovely readers. I have a really beautiful California engagement session to show you all today. This one was shot by Meghan Mehan with florals from Ellen Kyle. I don’t know if you know this about me, but I am a bit obsessed with floral crowns and this one that Addie’s wearing is nothing but pin-worthy. This engagement has such an organic and natural feel to it and Addie and Anton are so lovely together.

From the photographer…Our inspiration for this session was inspired by the natural California beauty in the Marin Headlands, located just north of San Francisco. We focused on the classic, intimate beauty between our couple, Addie and Anton, as well as that of our surroundings to create a session focused on the interaction of the couple in the vast beauty of nature. Ellen Kyle of Found & Created made a beautiful crown of locally grown flowers to add a subtle and romantic detail to the session.

Late Summer Engagement Shoot At Roger Williams Park

Hello again lovely readers. I hope you are all having a wonderful Friday. It’s been a little while, but now I have a brand new laptop (thanks Black Friday!) and I’m getting myself organized for the treats ahead. Today I have a wonderful engagement session captured by Blueflash Photography. What draws me to these photographs are the vintage touches, from retro looking bicycle to the classic red Mercedes convertible, these images are so fun to look at. This couple also has some serious style.

Kyle and Amanda chose to have their engagement shoot at Roger Williams Park in Providence, Rhode Island. The gorgeous natural light in these photographs makes this engagement session so dreamy. And his suspenders and her little pink outfit - this couple is totally adorable.

This engagement session turns from sweet to sexy with these next set of photographs. Red is definitely a color symbolizing love, and who doesn’t appreciate the luxury of a Mercedes, especially a vintage convertible one. And Amanda looks flawless with that red lipstick.

Amanda and Kyle also decided to take their shoot to a carousel, which is a pretty brilliant idea. Look at how these photographs capture this still kissing couple against the spinning lights and horses - it kind of reminds me of that feeling a couple gets when they feel like they’re the only two in the world.

Congratulations to Amanda and Kyle on their engagement! Thanks to Matt, once again, for providing us with some really wonderful images.
