Kristin’s inspiration was the Mediterranean and a soft pastel color palette set the tone for this charming styled shoot. The bride wore a flowing gown of French lace, accented gold jewelry and a DIY floral crown made of flowers from Kristin’s garden.

Styled shoots allow you to get inspired to think outside the box when it comes to wedding style. This inspiration shot by Ivy & Stone Photography is definitely outside the box: it’s Grecian, featuring lovely gold details, a Maggie Sottero gown, and there’s even a donkey involved…
From the photographer… We worked with Maggie Sottero and her beautiful grecian, blush wedding gown and it turned out so beautiful! The beautiful cake was gold and white with delicate gold leaves adorning the side. The florals were a perfect match for the feel of the shoot and had olive branches incorporated between stems of lavender. And to top it off our donkey, Rosie, was perfectly behaved the whole time!

From Kelly of Team Flower…In ancient Hebrew culture when a bride and groom were engaged, there was a time of separation, of waiting. Rather than planning every detail of their wedding day together, the groom needed to leave his bride at her home and go to his father’s house to build a room for he and his bride to live in when they married. She never knew exactly when her groom would return, but she trusted him and waited. This trust brought peace and rest to her mind. In that time she prepared herself for his arrival, fully confident he would return at just the right time.
I began imagining this bride patiently preparing for her groom against the ethereal backdrop of the mountains — running through the hillsides in her flowy, heirloom gown to see if that was him coming around the bend. She gracefully gathers freshly cut flowers, the perfume of each one making her sweeter. Every night she keeps her lamp burning — anticipating his return. And while she waits her love and longing for him grows stronger producing a rich charm and elegance in her eye, one that only comes through waiting.

Holly and Corey began planning their wedding shortly after they got engaged. A surprise came their way when they found out they were pregnant. The couple spent several months trying to figure out whether or not to go through with their wedding plans, but ultimately decided not to have a wedding as they had planned. Instead, they decided to go through with the idea of documenting their love, and therefore set up a shoot for the two of them and their newest member of the family, their baby boy.
