Though winter is approaching here in Vermont, and we usually have feet of snow on the ground, the weather is still very much like fall. Fall is one of my favorite times of year, with the mixture of cool breeze and beautiful sunlight. Today’s shoot captured by Michelle Boyd is focused on delicate fall wedding inspiration, with stunning florals, a rich green backdrop, and simple yet beautiful bridal fashion.

There’s so much to adore in today’s feature. It’s somewhat of a rarity to see a styled shoot with a focus of the bride getting ready. I love how these images by Elle Golden capture the serenity of a bride taking in the moments before her big day along with some lovely vintage wedding inspiration. Of course I’m a huge fan of the Gossamer and the gorgeous RiverOaks venue in Charleston, so these photos are particularly up my alley. I think you’ll understand why after you view them.

Earlier this week I featured a lovely Spanish-inspired elopement shoot and today I’m continuing the non-traditional wedding ideas with photographer Tamara Gruner’s intimate wedding inspiration in Southern France. We’re going to Provence, to be exact, where romance seems to trickle from every corner. Lace adornments, candles and soft hues of pinks and ivories are carefully curated together to create this sweet, beautiful ambiance. The small, intimate gathering seems to enhance the romance of it all and I love the idea of jetting off with your closest loved ones to celebrate a special occasion like this one.

Today’s modern and rustic elopement captured by Jenny McCann is filled with fun, unique details inspired by the Spanish Mission. The one-shoulder, vintage Gossamer gown is certainly one of the shoot’s show-stopping pieces, as are the groom’s dark suit and Stetson hat, making them the perfectly styled duo for this Spanish-inspired affair. If you’re thinking about eloping or if you ever have a chance to participate in a styled shoot, I would recommend it 100%. What a fun and relaxing way to spend the day together and create an everlasting memory!

If you’re searching for wedding bouquet ideas or bridal portrait inspiration, look no further than today’s styled shoot captured by Christine Doneé. And it’s not one gorgeous bouquet we get to swoon over, but two - and each with its own perfectly crafted colors and arrangement. The Rue de Seine and Claire Pettibone gowns also add to the delicate, fresh beauty of these images. But what I love most is the joy that is emanating from this bride. I love how infectious this is and even though this is a styled shoot, I think it’s important to dig into those real emotions.

There are so many wedding trends I love - details with a boho twist, maybe something a little rustic since I grew up in he countryside - but I truly think there is something so special and important about timeless styling. Today’s elegant Atlanta wedding inspiration, captured by Archetype takes place at the Swan House, a venue that is breathtaking with its style, architecture, and history. The Gossamer gown and table details like lace-emrodered linens and other antique trinkets are just a few examples of how vintage will never go out of style.

Greece has been on my travel list for quite some time now and in my head, I picture it as this majestical, serene place where I would want to stay forever. Today’s fine art bridal portraits set in Greece during the Bohême Workshop definitely coincide with my image of this beautiful country. Alright friends, so the award for the cutest bride goes to bride Emily from today’s real wedding captured by film photographer, Michelle Boyd. This beach wedding takes place in Tulum, Mexico and not only is the location insanely gorgeous (I mean, who doesn’t dream of beach romance every now and then), but talk about some serious bridal fashion. The bridal robe, the jewelry, the hair and make-up, they’re sure to inspire any future bride, but the custom gown from Enzoani is so unique and beautiful and something that I’m particularly excited to share.

Brides, couples and wedding enthusiasts who like color, here’s a real wedding for you. Captured by Russian film photographer, Olga Plakitina, this wedding is chock-full of brightly colored details. One of my favorite details? The cute little sweets that look almost too delicious to eat. I love how they are used not only for yummy treats, but as a decor element of this romantic wedding as well.

Ever since I featured Elizabeth Dye’s “Halo” gown in this feature in the beginning of the year, I’ve been such a fan of her gorgeous creations. So, of course, I’m happy to share these images from Donny Zavala that show off several of Elizabeth’s gowns. They are all captured so whimsically by Donny in the beautiful state of Oregon along the Columbia River Gorge. As a bit of a nature nut, I’m loving the location which feels so raw and natural, as does the gorgeous make-up and hair by Cassandra Kennedy.

There’s something undoubtedly romantic about France, especially the gorgeous region of Provence, which I have yet to visit, but is definitely on my list. Combine the beautiful location and venue of today’s setting with several talented stylists who seem to understand organic, romantic styling just perfectly all captured by Greg Finck - well we’ve got ourselves a styled shoot that is sure to make it on our favorites list. Every detail is carefully curated, making me want to pin and re-pin all the uniqueness, like the styled staircase, table setting with delicate greens, and floral details of the boutonniere and lush, classic white and green bouquet.

Today’s feature from Colorado-based film photographer Connie Whitlock is chockfull of wonderful wedding details. Taken at the Lemonade and Lenses workshop in a beautiful castle estate, this elegant outdoor summer wedding inspiration features simple decor with subtle pops of red and romantic lace details. This styled shoot also has some fabulous inspiration for ceremony decor - and I love that it’s included since oftentimes, the ceremony details don’t play a role in styled shoots. Overall, there is just something so sweet and simple about this styled shoot and it has just the right about of rustic-elegance.

I’ve featured a few sets of images from Erich McVey’s workshop in Elk, California, seen here as Alate and Nubivagant. For this workshop, renowned stylist Ginny Au used ancient words for the inspiration of the shoots. I’m always inspired by Ginny’s ability to create natural wedding inspiration and today’s images captured by the talented Jen Wojcik are mesmerizing. They are soaked in gorgeous lighting that plays beautifully with the free-flowing Houghton NYC gown. I just love the simplicity and emphasis on the natural beauty with lush florals by Sarah Winward.

Just one portrait of this styled shoot was all I needed to see to know that it was something I wanted to feature. You know that there’s talent behind a lens when all you need is one photo. This Halloween wedding inspiration from Ashley Rae is one that I’ll be swooning over for a while. Not only is every detail perfectly gothic for Halloween, like the bride in all black, right down to her veil and dark make-up and the beautifully shriveled and dead looking bouquet, but the grain in some of these photos. The grain just seems to enhance how gorgeously shivering these images are, and I love it.

Today’s romantic southern wedding inspiration, photographed by Koby Brown of Archetype Photography takes place at the beautiful Cheekwood in Nashville, Tennessee. The muted color palette feels so soft and romantic, perfectly complimenting the romantic scenery and venue. But the star of this shoot is the gorgeous and unique hi-lo wedding gown by Giles. The gown is made with a lovely white leather bodice and marbleized blues in the skirting - I love how it’s elegant, but high-fashion with a bit of an edge, and how exquisite does it look on the beautiful red-headed model?

Some of my favorite images I’ve had the pleasure of featuring come from the workshops hosted by talented, renowned fine art photographers. These images by Morgan Gosch are no exception. At Jen Huang’s “The Artist Holiday” workshop, Morgan captured this almost bare-detailed shoot by the seaside, with only the couple, their pin-worthy attire, and gorgeous, equally as pin-worthy florals by Poppies & Posies that give it all a color pop. Oh, and keep your eyes peeled for the image of the bride’s braid by Chiali Meng - what wonderful wedding hair inspiration.

From the eerie, yet beautiful location, to the bouquet and bride’s gown, today’s details are all wonderfully pin-worthy. But what makes these images even more intriguing is the story behind them. Today’s inspiration comes from Elena Pavlova and tells the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. A tragic love story of two characters who are separated by uninevitable death. They have the chance to be together again when Orpheus convinces Hades to let his beloved wife return to earth. They are reunited for only a brief period before Eurydice is, again, taken away and the lovers loose each other for eternity.

As the weather these days gets dreary, it’s always nice to see a styled shoot full of color and liveliness. This shoot taken place in Mexico shot by Sarah Kate and her fiancé Joshua Aull has enough color and beauty to brighten up my dreary days for awhile. I adore the textures - from the bride’s beautiful dress, to the full and lively florals, to the table cloth and decor. I love how the decor items were authentic and most of them sourced from locals or markets. Swoon away, my friends, this is one for the books.

I always love a unique twist on a common style. When we think of spring, it’s often thoughts of fresh flowers in pastel colors, sunshine, and warmth. The reality is that with spring come misty, rainy days that keep us indoors. Today’s shoot from Marie Claire Photography focuses on the moodier, darker days spring provides us. Deeper colors are used in the flowers and make-up, giving us a much different feel for spring.

I’ve seen black gowns in a handful of weddings and styled shoots around the web before. Black is rare color used in the wedding world, one that is bold, unpredictable, and a little on the moody side of things. It can be exciting and sultry. But what I love about today’s feature from Elena Pavlova is that with the use of black, things are still so bright, beautiful, and airy. There is such a warmth and glow in the bride and the black gown seems to enhance it even more. Take a look and if you weren’t pro-black before, you may change your mind.

There is something special about being in a place where you’re surrounded by nature and alone with your own thoughts and presence. There’s a certain peace that comes from just soaking up the atmosphere when you are alone. I love that this portrait session focuses on this feeling. It is simply styled with a beautiful periwinkle gown that catches the sea breeze, hair that is down, ready to be wind-blown, and lovely hand-lettered calligraphy. This Montenegro shoot from Anastasia Bryukhnova will have you wanting to escape to the seaside…and wait until you see the last image.

I love nothing more than receiving a submission of a shoot taking place in a breathtaking location. This portrait session, taken by Justine Milton takes place during her stopover in Iceland. Iceland is a beautiful place, to which I have never been, but that is most definitely on my list. What I love most about this shoot? It’s simplicity. Sometimes you just don’t need flowers, decor or accessories. The couple’s beauty and the landscape are enough, more than enough, to create something that feels close to earth, something that will be truly timeless.

I’m sure some of you are familiar with the gorgeous Swan Lake gown created by Paolo Sebastian. It has been a huge pin going around Pinterest and I know that I have definitely been inspired by it time and time again. This gown has the perfect mixture of elegance and grace and I imagine most girls would dream to wear a gown like this. One of Jenny Packham‘s lovely gowns is also featured in this shoot, and I’m loving the classy, timeless nature of it. How do you guys feel about small, intimate weddings? I’ve always liked the idea and find that there’s something particularly special about them. I love elopements too, but I really love when a wedding is still just as intimate but includes only those few, very important loved ones. I also recently saw the episode of How I Met Your Mother where a beautiful ceremony was held for Lilly and Marshall. So with an intimate occasion, topped with tons of beauty like fresh florals, an Anna Campbell gown, and Silk & Willow in the mix, there’s lots to love in this wedding from Aussie photographer, Katie Grant.

I came across Tamara Gigola’s work about six months ago and have been an admirer ever since. She is inspiring with both her timeless film photography work but also with her unique story about how she got to where she is now. I recently asked Tamara her story of how she got into the film photography world. She told me how she was a chief financial officer with no real desire to photograph, but she knew there was something special about the work of Jose Villa. She attended one of his workshops with no experience, and since then, has become a very successful film photographer with some pretty impressive publications. As she has been impressed by the works of Jose Villa, I have been consistently inspired by her and her work. I am thrilled to share with you images by another talent, Olga Siyanko, from Tamara’s last workshop in Kazbegi, Georgia. I’m also excited to say that I have the honor of attending her next workshop in Kakheti, which takes place next week (my flight out there is today!).

I love when I receive a set of images that are so magnificently unique and inspirational. These images from Russian photographer Anastasia Bryukhnova truly go beyond ordinary. They are exquisite, exotic, and mesmerizing on a whole new level, making me want to jump right into the images. This shoot is inspiring with its gorgeous detail, from the stunning beaded gown, the bold hair and make-up, to the surreal desert scenery with a dromedary, but also inspires me to see the world. Two things that I love deeply are fine art weddings and travel, and this shoot mixes the two together and for me, creates something magical and unforgettable.

I began following the works of Lara Lam some time ago and I’m excited to share her first feature on Belles & Bubbles today. This delicate oceanside styled engagement feels so effortless. Not only does it take place by the seaside, which is a gorgeous location in itself, but the simplistic styling and delicate details are just to die for. Something else that I can really appreciate in photographs is unique and elegant poses. There are several stunning captures by Lara in this one and I think you’ll know when you see them.

Enchanting is one of the words that came to mind when I viewed these images from Danielle of DeFiore Photography. I’m particularly captivated by the colors and table with the small, delicate touches like quartz, butterflies, and the beauty of blown-out candles. Tablescapes are one of my favorite wedding details. I truly feel they are a display of art, but also a place of intimacy where you enjoy food and the company of your loved ones. And this one, styled by Prema Style is mesmerizing.

I promise you that these images by Jen Wojcik will take you to a whole other place. This Salton Sea wedding inspiration is a perfect representation of why I love doing what I do and why I’m so inspired by styling, film, and the fine art industry. These images are ethereal, magical, peaceful, and romantic. Each images draws me in and gives me the feeling that I’m there and that the rest of the world stops around me. I love the bride’s timeless, classic look. It’s as if she could belong in any era, she just has a face of classic beauty. The details are all stunning, but the way those gowns blend perfectly with the landscape, well that is a way to style a shoot. Jen uses the word ‘breathless’ in her description, and my friends, this shoot is just that.

One thing that really pops out in these Wild West images from Rebecca Hollis is the horses. Anytime you see animals mixed in with a styled shoot, they’re going to make you intrigued. I featured some Grecian wedding inspiration several months ago which had a donkey in the shoot. I love when I see animals included in shoots because the animals are so specific to certain cultures. These horses are a perfect fit for this wild west wedding inspiration and including them makes the vision come to life even more. To me, this shoot doesn’t just represent a style, but rather represents a culture with traditions as well.

When I first laid eyes on this styled shoot shot by Olga Siyanko, I was immediately enthralled by the gorgeous and delicate lace gown. I love the sheer bodice and lace appliqués, and the back of this gown is so elegant. I love how the braided up-do compliments the dress beautifully, really showing off the delicate details and back. I think it’s really important in styling to be sure that each element of the shoot - the florals, the gowns, make-up and hair and other decor - complement each other and allow for certain aspects of the shoot to shine through.

For the bohemian lovers out there and to the ladies who aren’t afraid of some color, here’s some gorgeous marsala boho wedding inspiration from Lucy Munoz to get excited about. The florals created by Indigo & Plum really stand out for me in this feature. My personal preference for floral work is a bouquet that is textured, a bit unkept, and has lots of variety. I love the bold marsala colors mixed with lighter shades and plenty of greenery. If you look at this bouquet, there’s really a lot there. Florals have been making me swoon more than other details lately, and I cannot wait to pin this one all over my boards.

Alright, my dear friends. This week I have a three-part series of images from Erich McVey’s most recent workshop in Elk, California. Three things I love in the wedding world are bohemian weddings, beach weddings, and weddings that use natural elements. This boho beach elopement inspired shoot from Jenny Ostenson has all three of these things - and let me tell you, my friends, my eyes just lit up when I gazed over everything. There are so many details to adore in this wonderfully atypical beach shoot. I’m talking major lush, colorful florals, mussel shell decor, and beautiful use of driftwood.

Every now and again you come across a tasteful boudoir session that really ups the ante for boudoir photography. This, my friends, is one of those sessions. Jenny Soi and her team did an amazing job putting together this vintage boudoir session - from the gorgeous florals and the lace to headpiece, this ‘bride’s’ styling is a truly stunning.
This latest inspiration board is dedicated to the “something blue” wedding tradition. Whether you’re a fan of the poem’s ritual or not, blue is a fabulous wedding color regardless. It is so versatile and can really be used during any season - which is personally why I’m a fan of the hue. So here’s a roundup of my personal favorite fine art photographs featuring the “something blue”.
Now, I can’t say the idea of a blue cake really appeals to me, but how gorgeous is this one from The Cake Stand? Happy July, my friends! I cannot believe June has already come and gone and summer is here! Today I am sharing a very unique and beautiful styled shoot from Olga Siyanko and Ludmila Fateeva. This shoot was a pre-wedding affair for the couple and the photographer as a way to get inspiration and rehearse for the big day.

I recently featured one of my all-time favorite set of images of a styled shoot in the Great Sand Dunes by Katie Grant, so naturally, I’m excited to share another one of her amazing shoots. I love the ocean and some of my favorite wedding inspiration comes from organic shoots inspired by the natural elements of water. This one includes a fantastic shelled crown and a quaint and very pin-worthy sweetheart table.
From the photographer…We drew inspiration from the natural, rocky coastline and built the shoot around the natural palette of the shore. The sweetheart table is nestled into the large rock formations where waves crash underneath, creating a beautiful symphony. The table is adorned with light sea blues and sandy golds and the plates are set with each person’s name calligraphed on a translucent capiz shell. The focal point of this shoot is the bride’s jaw-dropping and gorgeous seashell crown, a fresh and inspiring take on the bohemian floral crown.
