As you may already know, I adore sharing photos from workshops. Whenever I see snippets from photography workshops hosted by some of the industry’s most renewed photographers, I just know it’s going to make for something special. Today’s blue and burgundy California wedding inspiration comes from Wendy Cooper and her time during The Artist Holiday in Santa Barbara hosted by Jen Huang. The cake and the Sarah Janks wedding gown are two highlights for me, just take a look at the back and those sleeves! If you’re looking for some color inspiration, this neutral, blue, and burgundy combination is just enough color and makes for a perfect palette for any season.
From the photographer…These images were taken at The Artist Holiday workshop with Jen Huang and friends in Santa Barbara, California. It was an incredibly rewarding experience to work with such a talented team. These images were taken with medium-format film at a park that had lovely architectural and natural backdrops. The lovely blues in the foliage were echoed by the flowers in the flower arrangements for the table and the bouquet, as well as by the groom’s suit, all accented with deep burgundy and indigo. At the workshop we also had sessions on flower arranging with Poppies and Poses and calligraphy by Paperfinger. It was an intimate workshop, out of which a lot of friends were made.
