There’s something undoubtedly romantic about France, especially the gorgeous region of Provence, which I have yet to visit, but is definitely on my list. Combine the beautiful location and venue of today’s setting with several talented stylists who seem to understand organic, romantic styling just perfectly all captured by Greg Finck - well we’ve got ourselves a styled shoot that is sure to make it on our favorites list. Every detail is carefully curated, making me want to pin and re-pin all the uniqueness, like the styled staircase, table setting with delicate greens, and floral details of the boutonniere and lush, classic white and green bouquet.
From the photographer…Provence is very rich in terms of imagery and what people have in mind when they think about that amazing French region. Lavender fields, olive groves, pale green tones… you name it. Les Domaines de Patras is a hidden gem in the heart of Provence, and that’s the venue I had picked to host the first edition of my film photography retreat: the Light Workshop. Kéty and Eric, the owners of this historical Provence venue, are the sweetest persons you can meet, and dedicate all of their heart to the brides and grooms they host every weekend to celebrate their weddings.
With 17 attendees coming from 10 countries, and 15 staff members, we spend 4 days enjoying the Provence easy lifestyle and food, surrounded by Provencal beauty. This is an overview of the Provence inspiration we tried to immerse our attendees in. This was all designed by some of the best European designers, including Lavender & Rose Weddings, Branco Prata and Nessa Buonomo for Made in You. Local floral designer Laetitia C. made magic as she’s used to do. Our models, dressed by Rime Arodaky and Jenny Packham by Martine Toledano, were wonderfully appraised by the hair styling of Ciara Coiffure and make up of Charles Gillman. Beautiful calligraphy by Nice Plume Calligraphy was with us from the welcome dinner, to all of the styled shoots.
Finally, all of this shoots, and the overall ambiance of the workshop, were inspired by the ethereal and light atmosphere of Provence, and we all went through a long creative path to get to that result, to make of this a one and only experience for our attendees. This is Light Workshop.
