Ever since I featured Elizabeth Dye’s “Halo” gown in this feature in the beginning of the year, I’ve been such a fan of her gorgeous creations. So, of course, I’m happy to share these images from Donny Zavala that show off several of Elizabeth’s gowns. They are all captured so whimsically by Donny in the beautiful state of Oregon along the Columbia River Gorge. As a bit of a nature nut, I’m loving the location which feels so raw and natural, as does the gorgeous make-up and hair by Cassandra Kennedy.
From the photographer…The beauty of the Pacific Northwest is incredible and endless. From the Oregon Coast to the mountains and the Columbia River Gorge, the choices are endless. With a talented team of creatives and the perfect location, the Columbia River Gorge was beckoning. On a chilly February morning at dawn just before sunrise, we found the perfect location to shoot at rivers edge. As the sun begun to rise, I knew the colors would be perfect to pair the surroundings with Elizabeth Dye’s amazing dresses. Cassandra Kennedy did an amazing job with hair makeup bringing our models to life adding to the amazing lighting and sunrise colors. In addition, the talents of Katie Davis of Ponderosa and Thyme and Kathryn Rigoni of Heirbloom Floral created such amazing florals that added to the already dramatic location. As the day progressed, we moved from the river to the amazing hills of the Columbia River Gorge and paired the stunning models which perfectly brought the shoot to the best conclusion possible.
