There’s so much to adore in today’s feature. It’s somewhat of a rarity to see a styled shoot with a focus of the bride getting ready. I love how these images by Elle Golden capture the serenity of a bride taking in the moments before her big day along with some lovely vintage wedding inspiration. Of course I’m a huge fan of the Gossamer and the gorgeous RiverOaks venue in Charleston, so these photos are particularly up my alley. I think you’ll understand why after you view them.
From the photographer…While attending a recent gathering of film photographers in Charleston, we had the opportunity to photograph a beautifully styled shoot. As I was capturing our lovely bride Haley, I decided to give her a back story to my images.
I imagined an intimate elopement for our bride, marrying her beloved groom in one of the South’s most romantic cities, Charleston, SC. Only their closest friends and family members shared the journey to the private estate where the couple would wed near a tranquil river. The morning of the wedding, the bride takes a moment for herself. She is cloaked in a delicate robe, readying herself for the day ahead. A veil rests on a nearby chair, waiting for its moment to shine. Her wedding photographer quietly captures these serene moments. Our brides gazes through the window and catches a glimpse of her handsome groom. She smiles as she envisions their first wedding anniversary. She will present these boudoir images to her husband as the traditional paper gift: in a simple linen album or as loose prints in a custom, handcrafted wooden box. She steps away from the window and nods to her childhood best friend, letting her know it’s time to put on her wedding dress and become a bride…
