Peach and Mint Wedding in Texas

Today we’re headed south with the first real wedding feature of 2016. We’re headed to Wimberly, Texas, to be exact, with this intimate peach and mint wedding captured by film photographer Michelle Boyd. I dream about having a second ‘wedding’ (my husband’s from Belgium and we’re still hoping to have our European celebration in the future) completely open-air with a reception under trees and blue skies. Seeing a perfectly sweet, intimate wedding like this one with its gorgeous florals, beautiful bride, and lush outdoor backdrop reminds me of why I love outdoor events so much.

From Mayhar Designs…When I first met Kaylee to discuss her upcoming wedding, I could not wait to be a part of her big day. With a genuine kindness and excitement, Kaylee approached each step jumping into the collaborative design process with enthusiasm and heart. From the very beginning she knew that she wanted a small and intimate wedding with close family and friends. Having fallen in love with the idea of a dreamy peach and mint color palette and soft romantic florals, it quickly became our goal to create a loving environment with thoughtful, delicate details. The charming Creekhaven Inn in Wimberley, Texas was quickly selected as the venue, and I am thrilled with the wonderful team of vendors who quickly came on board. It was such a joy to walk alongside such a gifted team of artists and to be allowed into the lives of Seth and Kaylee as they planned their special day. From finding her dream dress and patiently altering it down 10 sizes to fit her tiny frame, to the amount of family and friends who contributed their gifts and services to help make this day so special, I am so touched by the love and kindness that went into this wedding. And, I am so thankful to have been a part. I hope that we were able to create a day that they both dreamed of.
