When I first laid eyes on this styled shoot shot by Olga Siyanko, I was immediately enthralled by the gorgeous and delicate lace gown. I love the sheer bodice and lace appliqués, and the back of this gown is so elegant. I love how the braided up-do compliments the dress beautifully, really showing off the delicate details and back. I think it’s really important in styling to be sure that each element of the shoot - the florals, the gowns, make-up and hair and other decor - complement each other and allow for certain aspects of the shoot to shine through.
From the photographer…It was an inspiration shoot set up by decorator Sweet William. She exceeded all our expectations and created excellent decorations. We managed to shoot not only the couple but the beautiful bridesmaids as well. The cake was another hero of the shoot. A good team means a lot for the shoot when all the details are thought of beforehand. It was a nice experience thanks to our bride and groom, Sasha and Roma. All their emotions - smiling, laughing, feeling shy - were so real that we wanted to shoot them forever. The rustic style was the idea for the shoot. Stairs, a huge wheel, a decorated table, candles, lots of flowers gathered in harmony. But the funny thing is after shooting the guys have become a real couple. And the last but not least were the charm of Sasha and Roma and lots of freckles!
I love how this shoot has several different feels to it. It feels young and fun with the vibrant colors and flowers, but also has such an editorial feel that gets captured so beautifully. It also feels like a real wedding with the incorporation of bridesmaids. And how cute is it that the model couple became a couple in real life after the shoot?
