Minimal Beach Wedding Inspiration

P h o t o s b y K y l e J o h n

Today’s minimal beach wedding inspiration by Kyle John brings things back to nature and its natural beauty. This isn’t a toes-in-the-sand, seashells and cocktails kind of beach shoot, but one taken on a rocky seashore with the ocean backdrop on one side, and immense black rocks on the other. Kelly Lenard brings us beautiful florals with pops of pastels, bringing forth color amid the neutral palette of the earthly surroundings.

Romantic Sunset Oceanside Wedding Inspiration

Today’s romantic sunset oceanside wedding inspiration has an ethereal goddess quality in the details and gorgeous lighting. Put together by Jennifer Blair with lush pink and red florals by Myrtie Blue and captured by Courtney Woodham, these wedding details will have me swooning for days. Let me emphasize this gorgeous lighting once more and how it seems to just halo beautifully around the bride, highlighting her gorgeous updo by Brenna Kneiss, make-up by Morgan King and silky, sheer, one shoulder gown by Jenny Yoo. Whether it’s a sunrise or sunset, photoshoots like these seem to prove time and time again that capturing your moments with gorgeous lighting certainly provides visionary beauty.

Beach Wedding in Tulum, Mexico

Alright friends, so the award for the cutest bride goes to bride Emily from today’s real wedding captured by film photographer, Michelle Boyd. This beach wedding takes place in Tulum, Mexico and not only is the location insanely gorgeous (I mean, who doesn’t dream of beach romance every now and then), but talk about some serious bridal fashion. The bridal robe, the jewelry, the hair and make-up, they’re sure to inspire any future bride, but the custom gown from Enzoani is so unique and beautiful and something that I’m particularly excited to share.

Boho Beach Elopement Inspiration

P h o t o s b y J e n n y O s t e n s o n

Three things I love in the wedding world are bohemian weddings, beach weddings, and weddings that use natural elements. This boho beach elopement inspired shoot from Jenny Ostenson has all three of these things - and let me tell you, my friends, my eyes just lit up when I gazed over everything. There are so many details to adore in this wonderfully atypical beach shoot. I’m talking major lush, colorful florals, mussel shell decor, and beautiful use of driftwood.

Beach Wedding in Tulum

P h o t o s b y N a d i a H u n g

Hi all! We’re continuing the week with the beach theme with today’s real wedding in Tulum! I’m a huge fan of Nadia Hung’s work, so I’m excited to showcase this wedding she shot of this gorgeous couple. This wedding is so full of love and is such a wonderful representation of what a wedding is all about! And, of course, the gorgeous scenery and Sarah’s gown(s) give us even more to swoon over.

From the bride…Choosing to get married in Tulum was an easy decision, I spent my holidays there growing up and vacationed with Ryan one summer. When you get married in another country, it’s hard to have control over all the details and I had a vision of what I wanted our day to look like so I brought a suitcase of some pieces that I had collected in the year leading up to the wedding. The vintage Moroccan Wedding Blanket (Handira) was draped over our signing table, and then used in our photographs. It’s now hanging on the wall in our bedroom. I love history and when I read about the tradition of the Handira, and how the brides family would make it in anticipation of the wedding, I knew it was something special. We kept the decor neutral so the beauty of the ocean, sky, and tropical plants would shine through.

Having our son be part of the ceremony was incredible, we let him do his own thing, but looking over and seeing him playing with the palms in the breeze was one of those moments you always want to remember. We are so grateful for the family and friends who made the trip down south, it was such a sweet gift! If I had to describe the vibe of our wedding, it would be very personal and simple. My sister is a singer and sang one of her originals for our first dance, both my dad and step dad walked me down the aisle, and the seating was open for the ceremony.

Nadia photographed my pregnancy and our engagement so having her with us in Tulum to shoot our wedding was so special. We’ve grown to love her as not only a photographer but also as a friend. She is the only photographer I know who can capture a moment completely, the emotion, the movement, it’s all there in a single photograph.
